Compound Bow

Uses a system of cams (pulleys) that provide a "let-off" — reducing the holding weight at full draw by 65-85%. Extremely accurate.

• Best for: Precision-focused archers, hunters
• Draw weight for beginners: 30-40 lbs (adjustable)

Barebow

A recurve bow shot without sights, stabilizers, or clickers. Growing rapidly in popularity with its own World Archery category.

• Best for: Traditionalists, instinctive shooters
